Neurodiversity Community

At Heidelberg Materials, our Neurodiversity Community plays a vital role in fostering an inclusive workplace where every individual is empowered to thrive.

This community provides a safe and supportive space for employees with neurodiverse conditions, such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, and others to share experiences, raise awareness, and access peer support. It also welcomes allies who want to learn, advocate, and help build a more understanding and accessible environment.

With around one in seven people in the UK identifying as neurodivergent, recognising and embracing neurodiversity is essential to creating a workplace that values different ways of thinking, learning, and problem-solving.

The importance of this community lies in its ability to challenge stigma, promote inclusive practices, and celebrate the strengths that neurodivergent individuals bring to our business. By encouraging open conversations and providing resources for both employees and managers, the Neurodiversity Community helps ensure that everyone has the tools and support they need to succeed.

It’s a key part of our broader commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion ensuring that all voices are heard, all talents are recognised, and everyone feels a genuine sense of belonging.
