Strategy and Development Intern Matt Barratt

I am currently completing the placement year of my degree at HM whilst studying Business Management at Loughborough University

“I feel as if I have really fallen on my feet with this placement within the Strategy team.

My highlights as follows; 

• I have been exposed to to a number of high-level initiatives at the planning and execution stages, playing an important role in delivering on specific projects. 
• Vertical interaction with senior managers and teams both inside and outside of the company. This has been invaluable to see how different teams link in within an organization and the role each function plays. Reporting to a member of the Exec coupled with their mentorship has enabled me to develop an understanding of where I see myself after I graduate. 
• An understanding into how organizations make large decisions, and the processes used in order to evaluate the outcomes. This has enabled my technical skills development.

I would thoroughly recommend this role to anyone looking to get stuck into a commercial role within a large organization, helping to shape the future of the industry. I have enjoyed my time here and look forward returning to a role on the grad scheme post university (and some time travelling!).”
